The creation of a revolutionary insurance policy for disabled motorists - The Mobility Master
David encountered disability discrimination early in his life when being quoted for motor insurance, and he was determined to change it.
Long before the Disability Discrimination Act came into being he challenged the motor insurance industry who at the time heavily penalised any disability by inflated premiums e.g. 25% addition per limb lost!
In 1996 David, in conjunction with Privilege Insurance, created a unique policy, the Mobility Master, that disregarded any disability and purely assessed the premium on past driving record.
After the launch it created a sea change as many other insurance companies were coerced into following this pioneering example to the benefit of all disabled motorists.
