Al-Rasheed is a private company established in 1992 specializing in injection and blow moulds for the plastic industry.
David Butler was employed over a three year period to manage the creation of this business, formulating the business plans, recruiting the european staff, procuring on a worldwide basis both the toolmaking and computer equipment and successfully implementing the training programmes.
Over the project David spent many months in Damascus, an exciting and surprisingly friendly city and visits to historic Palmyra and the coastal areas along the Mediterranean gave an insight into the country`s enormous tourist potential.
Al Rasheed is now a very successful tool making service operating from Damascus, Syria which is able to produce tools to European quality standards using European tool steels.
The whole operation is run by highly qualified and superbly trained staff under European production managers.

Full CNC machining, grinding, EDM and wire EDM facilities, in house vacuum hardening, polishing and finishing facilities as well as Battenfeld machines for tool proving and limited production runs.
Clients are always welcome to see their tools during production and certainly when they are being trialed."
